Gone to the dogs...

The woman that commissioned me to do the penguin also wanted a dachshund. So this guy is what I came up with- crocheted without a pattern and also switching colors in the project to give him the color similar to the actual picture I used as a reference. (free picture of dachshund found online)

No pattern was used- he was made up as I went.... not bad for trying out a new skill and making a goofy little critter to be a buddy for Kyle (he is the boy that is getting him).
The true color of the plushie are about the same as the color of the picture of the real dog. When I took pictures of it yeterday at my mom's house- the lighting in the kitchen was working against my camera and to be honest I wasn't in the set-it-up-right mood.

He is a rich brown and tan/taupe color. Like a rich milk chocolate.
